Walpole — Celebrating the Best of British Luxury brands

Walpole — brands of tomorrow 2008
Nurturing the finest UK talent in the luxury sector, has been the vocation of Walpole since its creation in 1992.

Named after Sir Robert Walpole (the British statesman, patron of the arts and promoter of overseas trade), the organisation has championed, supported and helped develop more than 115 prestigious British companies, drawn from the fashion, retail, jewellery, food, drink, leisure, automotive and media sectors.

Companies as diverse as British Airways and the Financial Times to Alfred Dunhill and William Grant & Sons; have all contributed to the organisation gaining its reputation for being the most British of associations.

Providing a strong voice for the finest British brands in today's competitive global luxury market, Walpole has give members numerous opportunities to form strong networking links and benefit from educational programmes — through a cycle of quarterly educational workshops on areas such as: business planning, marketing, distribution and internationalisation and one-to-one mentorship meetings, with some of the UK's most experienced luxury entrepreneurs.

In recent years, the organisation has held the annual Walpole Awards for British Excellence in London, Edinburgh, the US and Hong Kong; to recognise pioneering companies and individuals who represent the very best of British.
