Amanda Wakeley's S/S '06 collection possessed all the finesse and pose of a veteran who knows exactly how to accommodate the tastes of stylish women.
Black and white zebra print kaftans worn with palazzo pants that looked like liquid gold on the models legs, floated down the catwalk to herald the start of a heady mix of wrap-over summer dresses and cool separates.
Cropped jackets worn with pencil skirts and trench-coats teasingly revealing sexy shorts underneath were interspersed with stunning long dresses either with diamanté necklines or ruched bodices that would never date.
Swimwear too made an appearance in Wakeley's show along with cricketers, floaty skirts and loose jersey tops, and Trinny Woodall who looked as if she knew exactly what to wear from the collection.

Gharani Strok's S/S '06 collection delivered some of the most beautifully conceived pieces that have graced the London catwalks for a long time.
Sticking to block colour rather than prints, the duo offered dresses and separates in modernised silhouettes that had onlookers glued to the catwalk marvelling at how they managed to make it all blend so effortlessly.
Bermuda styled shorts shimmered in gold and silver and looked chic when worn with a cut away shoulder t-shirt or a grandad collar shirt and short sleeve cardigan.
The dresses too didn't disappoint, with chic ladies who lunch being given two possible lengths to choose from in an array of interesting styles incorporating tantalising knots and hiked up hems in all the right places.
As American model Veronica Webb sat on the front row soaking up the talent she must have thought the transatlantic trip to visit this one show, was well worth the effort.
