The Vegetarian Society (VSA) has launched the search to find the Best Vegetarian Beauty Product. What's more, if your favourite beauty product makes you feel better, fresher or even just cleaner — you can let the VSA know, by simply visiting their website with your nomination(s) and suggestions.
 
The Vegetarian Society’s Awards promote best practice among caterers, manufacturers and retailers, and highlight the importance of integrity in the vegetarian market place. Categories for 2008 include: Best independent pub or restaurant for vegetarian food; Best vegetarian ready-made dessert and Best veggie-friendly TV chef.
 
Nominations can be made until 30 June 2008 and the winners will be announced in October.

Revlon Signs Elle Macpherson as New Global Brand Ambassador
Entrepreneur, actress and supermodel Elle Macpherson, will become Revlon Inc.'s latest Ambassador to represent the brand globally.

Elle joins Revlon’s diverse lineup of accomplished and glamorous women including: Academy Award winning actress Halle Berry, actress Jessica Alba and actress Beau Garrett.

With this representation, Revlon continues the long-standing tradition it started of partnering with the most beautiful and iconic women of the time to represent the brand.

Tommy Hilfiger was Dreaming About you . . .
Fragrance-loving dreamers (looking to share their dreams or get inspired to make them come true), have a new website destination to visit: Dreaming About You.com, named after Tommy Hilfiger's latest women's perfume, Dreaming.

Incorporating a light fruity floral, brimming with exotic flowers and succulent fruits; the fragrance evokes a luxurious form of escapism, usually associated with dreams.

The website too, is unique in its composition owed to an interactive, exploratory experience where dreamers will be able to submit their dreams to Craig Webb, for personal interpretation.

Each week three dreams and their interpretations will be chosen to be featured on the site. In addition, one day a month, visitors will have the opportunity to make an appointment to have Craig interpret their dream live over the phone. (This feature will go live on the 17th of March).

Jason's Rowe's, "The Dreaming" which is also featured in the TV commercial, was written especially for this fragrance and can be heard on the website.

Celebrities from the world of fashion and music, including: Kate Moss, Lily Allen, Naomi Campbell, Kylie Minogue, David Beckham, Jemima Khan, Jude Law and Kelly Osbourne; have handed over clothing and accessories to their friend, hair stylist James Brown, to sell in aid of charity in an online auction which starts on 22 February and ends at midnight on 29 February.
 
Coleen McLoughlin's Kaftan Style Matthew Williamson Dress13 exclusive items of clothing are up for grabs in this one off chance to own a piece of fashion history.  The online auction will raise valuable funds for vital research into the causes and treatment of all forms of cancer, as part of Cancer Research UK’s Make Today Count campaign.
 
Items ranging from Lily Allen and Sienna Miller’s dresses to a coat belonging to Princess Beatrice, will be sold in person by James Brown, in a silent auction at the Cancer Research UK shop on Marylebone High Street, London, on 29 February.
    
James said: ‘‘I know first hand the devastating effect cancer can have so I jumped at the chance to do something to help.  If we all do something on 29 February, no matter how small, we can all help to make a big difference to Cancer Research UK.”

Celebrity Skin Portraits Auctioned for Charity
A-list celebrities including Sarah Michelle Gellar (pictured left), Hilary Duff, Amanda Bynes, Jacqueline Bisset, Kim Raver, John Leguizamo, Minnie Driver, Dave Navarro and Regina King; have bared their skin in the Vaseline "Skin is Amazing" campaign.

Most people take their skin for granted so, to help people appreciate their skin and its many amazing functions, each of these celebrities posed for special skin portraits that demonstrate what they find most amazing about their skin — from its expressiveness to its resilience to its ability to protect us. Fans will have the chance to purchase these one-of-a-kind autographed portraits during the Vaseline “Skin is Amazing” photo auction, which will benefit the Coalition of Skin Diseases.

Picture of Sarah Michelle GellarThe photographs, shot by renowned photographer Walter Chin, feature a personal quote from each celebrity about the intimate relationship between them and their skin. Sarah Michelle Gellar, who was officially revealed as the Vaseline “mystery” celebrity said:

“We actors tell stories through our faces, through our expressions. My skin is unique to me and a part of the story I tell. I’ve always worked hard to take care of my skin.”

The photos will be auctioned off from the 12th-22nd of February on eBay. Proceeds of the auction will benefit the Coalition of Skin Diseases, an organization which advocates on behalf of individuals with skin disease by supporting clinical research, fostering physician and patient education and generating awareness while improving the quality of life for those affected.

If you had the opportunity to make your dreams come true, what would you wish for? A new car, a new house or possibly a shopping spree?
