59th international cannes film festival: Dream girls
Dreamworks held a sneak preview after-party, at the Martinez Hotel Cannes, for their film Dreamgirls. The movie, directed by Bill Condon, is a screen version of Michael Bennett's 80's Broadway musical about a Supremes-type girl group. Starring Academy Award Winner Jamie Foxx (as the group's music manager) and Beyoncé Knowles, Jennifer Hudson and Anika Noni Rose, as the girl group in question, the film is sure to be a hit. The night before, Dreamwork's hosted a party for the computer animated comedy, Over the Edge. The animation stars Hollywood veteran actor, Bruce Willis.
